if I knew what I know now, I would have told myself…

your body always wants to find its way back to feeling well, we just have to remind it how to get there.

 my story

When I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2013 I was given a Gluten Free restaurant menu and sent on my way. At the time, I thought, “a Gluten Free diet alone would heal me.”

Flash forward 5 years into my journey as a diagnosed Celiac and I still didn’t feel better. I was more stressed than ever, fighting against my body asking me to slow down with exercising more, restricting food more and partying harder.

The worst part? I felt more alone and more victim to my disease than ever.

A gluten free diet on its own wasn’t the prescription I needed to fully heal.

I hit my breaking point when I had to take medical leave from my job and finally listen to my body’s needs. My healing became about working with my body, rather than against.

working with my body meant:

  • Moving slower

  • Adding more foods back into my diet rather than taking away

  • Finding the beauty in stillness via meditation

  • Relearning how to properly breathe

  • Taking breaks and asking for help

  • Getting curious about my thoughts

  • Finding my joy as a cook in the kitchen

  • Connecting with a practitioner who acknowledged, advocated and educated me vs. told me I was ‘fine’

because food, alone, isn’t enough

I needed someone who goes beyond restrictive dieting and a long list of supplements to guide me towards a holistic approach. Someone who could help meld an abundance mindset to food, lifestyle practices that work with the body and a concise, targeted list of supplements.

Someone who would treat the human by offering acknowledgement, connection and an increase in their quality of life.

Going beyond the food allowed me to calm my daily bloating, resolve my constipation, increase my energy, listen to my body, tolerate a wider variety of foods, have a new found relationship with stress management, clear my acne and normalize my hormones.

what clients are saying

“Before I worked with Meg: I felt bloated, nauseous, had irregular bowel movements, and frequent pain most of the time. I wasn’t eating regularly and I was under significant stress, which always affected my gut. I knew I could not continue on the path I was on.

After working with Meg: I feel so much better physically and I am getting back to eating an adequate amount. I am also eating new foods and enjoying them! Now, I know I am not doomed to a life of stomach trouble.

You are worth it – don’t be afraid to take the next step.”

what clients are saying

“Before working with Meg, I was nervous that I'd have to make radical changes or stick to a strict diet. That wasn't the case at all.

I learned to balance my plate and ended up adding to my meals instead of taking away from them.

The stress sessions changed how I think about simple breathing techniques. They literally change how you feel and I will take those skills into my life for years to come.
