Greek Turk Burg1.jpeg

My Current GF DF Summer Recipe Fav!

These simple greek turkey burgers with dairy free tzatziki sauce are loaded with gut healing polyphenols thanks to the fresh spices and herbs - and I love serving them with parsnip and carrot fries!

What you need - For the Tzatziki

  • 1 small plain dairy free yogurt (I used Culina)

  • 1/2 cup cucumber (diced)

  • 1 small garlic clove (minced)

  • 2T red onion (diced)

  • 2T fresh lemon juice and a little zest (for antioxidants!)

  • 1T fresh dill

  • 1/2 T fresh mint

  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

  • salt and pepper to taste

What you need- For the Burgers

  • 1 # organic ground turkey

  • 1/4 cup red onion (diced)

  • 1/3 cup GF breadcrumbs

  • 2T fresh parsley

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • salt and pepper to taste

How you do it:

  1. Wash and chop all herbs finely (mint/dill/parsley)

  2. Mix together all tzatziki ingredients in a bowl; add salt and pepper to taste, set aside in the fridge

  3. Add all burger ingredients to a bowl and mix until well combined, heat up the grill or a grilling pan

  4. Form mixture into burger patties and cook on your grill for a total of 15 minutes, flipping a few times

  5. Serve tzatziki on top of the burgers

    1. To complete the meal-I like to serve the burgers atop a lettuce wrap or mixed greens salad with tomato and pair with roasted parsnip and carrot fries
