Gut Healer Gummies

These are my infamous gut healer gummies -

rich in amino acid glycine

(great for gut healing in so many ways!) and a sneaky source of protein in general!

I love these as part of a snack or before bed!

Extra Thick Gut Healer Gummies Recipe

Makes 9 Gummy Squares

What you need:

  • 3.5 cups organic (not from concentrate) juice - I like Lakewood Organic cranberry or tart cherry

  • ½ cup filtered water

  • ⅓ cup grass fed gelatin (Great Lakes is the best brand)

  • ½ tsp sea salt

How you do it:

  1. Pour 1.5 cups of juice into a medium bowl

  2. Add remaining juice and water to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil

  3. While juice is heating up, sprinkle gelatin overtop the bowl of set aside juice evenly and wait for it to bloom (it will appear bumpy after a few minutes)

  4. Once juice is just starting to boil, turn heat off or very low

    • Add in pinch of salt and pour in the bloomed gelatin/juice mixture

    • Whisk/mix thoroughly for 2-3 mins until fully dissolved

  5. Pour into an 8x8 or 9x9 square glass baking dish (or into silicone muffin tins)

    • Beware of spillage - it’s very sticky!!! (vinegar based cleaner cleans it up!)

  6. Store in the fridge and let cool/gel (few hours) then cut into 9 squares

    • Store in an airtight container (stasher) or glass tupperware for up to 1 week

Each serving (of the 9 squares total) is ~ 6.5 grams of protein per gummy - keep in mind, this is part of a snack and does not count as a meal’s worth of protein!
